This role requires a minimum of 2000 hours experience operating haul or articulating trucks in open pit mines. The position offers a 6/6 rotation with 11.5-hour workdays and benefits after 300+ hours worked. This role is best suited for local candidates as it does not provide camp accommodations, living out allowance, or travel support. The position is safety sensitive and requires compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

The Haul Truck Operator will safely operate haul and articulating trucks to support open pit mining operations.

  • Operate haul trucks and articulating trucks with safety and efficiency.
  • Perform pre- and post-shift equipment inspections.
  • Follow site safety procedures and protocols.
  • Train on new equipment as required.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria for this safety-sensitive position:

  • Minimum 2000 hours operating haul trucks or articulating trucks in open pit mining.
  • Mandatory safety ticket: CSO.
  • Physically capable of performing demanding tasks.
  • Clean 3-year driver's abstract with under 9 demerits.
  • Proficient in English communication.
  • Willingness to train on new equipment.
  • Completion of drug and alcohol testing.
