Greenstone Gold Mines LP, owned by Equinox Gold Corp, is hiring Mine Haul Truck Swap Operators for the Greenstone Mine in Geraldton, Ontario. This open-pit gold mine, operational since May 2024, is projected to produce nearly 400,000 ounces of gold annually for an initial 14-year mine life. The role involves operating large mine haul trucks safely and efficiently while ensuring adherence to safety regulations. Responsibilities include swapping haul trucks for operator breaks, maintaining equipment, and accurately tracking loads. Company transportation is available from multiple pick-up locations.

Responsibilities
The Mine Haul Truck Swap Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of large mine haul trucks. Responsibilities include:
- Operating large mine haul trucks according to safety protocols and company policies.
- Performing Field Level Risk Assessments.
- Cleaning operator cabins and refilling equipment fluids as needed.
- Completing logbooks and daily reports on safety issues and production.
- Tracking all load sources and destinations accurately.
- Communicating using two-way radios, horn, and light signals to ensure safety.
- Transporting materials such as sand, aggregates, blasted rock, and snow to various locations on the mine site.
- Monitoring truck gauges and indicators to ensure proper function and reporting any discrepancies.
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following qualifications and skills:
- Heavy Equipment Operator Training is required.
- Valid G1, equivalent, or higher driver's license.
- Prior experience in an industrial setting and/or mine site experience is an asset.
- Ontario Surface Common Core Training is an asset.
- Safety-conscious and self-motivated.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions accurately.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks.
