Responsibilities
As a Haul Truck Operator, you'll perform essential duties in material transport on-site:
- Operate articulated / rigid frame haul trucks 777. 785, and 793 (Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, and Volvo)
- Transport raw materials from mine to processing areas
- Perform safety walk-arounds and risk assessments
- Use proper PPE and follow safety protocols at all times
- Review safe work plans before each task
- Report mechanical issues, incidents, or near misses promptly
Requirements
Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 1 year experience operating rigid frame trucks in a mining environment
- Experience on 777, 785, 793 Haul Trucks/Articulated Haul Trucks
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in English
- Valid CSO or BSO Certification
- Silica, H2S, and Wildlife Awareness training
- OHS Alberta Legislation knowledge
- Ability to pass drug/alcohol testing, fitness evaluation, and background checks
