Guest Service Agent - Mount Milligan Mine - 28 Days In / 14 Days Out - Camp Work in BC

Sodexo is hiring a Guest Service Agent to support operations at Mt. Milligan, located near McLeod Lake, British Columbia. This role offers a rotational schedule of 28 days in and 14 days out and includes accommodations at the camp site. Free shuttle services are also provided from Prince George, MacKenzie, Smithers, and Fort St. James.

Responsibilities

The Guest Service Agent will provide front-line service to camp guests and ensure a seamless check-in/check-out experience. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing check-ins, check-outs, and walk-in reservations
  • Managing room assignments and availability
  • Maintaining accurate guest records and reports
  • Handling guest inquiries and service requests
  • Conducting audits on occupancy data and recreation equipment
  • Completing inventory and data entry tasks
  • Processing maintenance requests and guest feedback
  • Collaborating with housekeeping, security, and other departments
  • Following all safety procedures and company protocols
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Applicants should bring a mix of customer service and administrative experience, especially in camp or hotel environments. Requirements include:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 2-5 years camp experience or 1-2 years hotel front desk experience
  • Experience with property management systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook preferred)
  • Experience with INNfinity, Visionline, and travel booking systems (asset)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work various shifts including night and split shifts
  • Good attendance and disciplinary record
  • Demonstrated integrity and professional demeanor

Mount Milligan Mine

Located approximately 155 kilometers northwest of Prince George in central British Columbia, Canada, the Mount Milligan Mine is a conventional truck-shovel open-pit operation producing both copper and gold. The mine features a 60,000-tonne-per-day capacity copper flotation processing plant. In February 2024, Centerra Gold announced an agreement with Royal Gold to extend the mine's life to 2035, with plans to further increase its longevity through ongoing exploration and development. This extension underscores the mine's significant role in the regional economy and its contribution to Canada's mining industry.
