Responsibilities

As a Grader Operator at Morgan Construction, you will perform critical earthmoving and grading tasks to support heavy civil projects across Alberta.

  • Operate 14M and/or 24H graders for earth moving, grading, and reclamation.
  • Perform lease building, road and pad construction, and culvert installation.
  • Assist ground personnel when necessary.
  • Conduct equipment inspections (tires, fluids, brakes, etc.).
  • Follow all project specifications and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate independent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  • Champion site safety culture and wear all required PPE.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for the Grader Operator role.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience operating graders in civil construction or mining.
  • Ability to read grade plans and follow technical specifications.
  • Experience with overburden stripping, stockpiling, and reclamation.
  • Experience working on ice roads and soft ground conditions preferred.
  • Ability to finish or trim is considered an asset.
  • Required certifications: CSTS-09/OSSA/BSO/CSO, H2S Alive, First Aid, Bear Awareness.
  • Physically fit; able to lift 50 lbs and work up to 12 hours/day outdoors.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug, alcohol, and fit-for-work testing.
