Grader Operator - Kearl Oil Sands - Fly In/Out - Two Week Rotations

NACG is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators (Grader) to join its mining team at Kearl in Fort McMurray. This position offers a competitive pay rate of up to $55.42/hour with a 14x14 rotation. Camp accommodations are provided, along with flights to and from Edmonton or Calgary. The role involves operating motor graders to maintain roadways and work areas within a mining environment.

Responsibilities

Grader Operators will perform essential road maintenance and grading tasks.

  • Operate articulating motor graders (16 to 24 ft blade) for road maintenance
  • Read stakes and place grades as required
  • Use GPS equipment for precision grading
  • Complete pre-use equipment inspections
  • Perform field-level risk assessments
  • Interact with various types of equipment, including light vehicles and haul trucks
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and use required PPE
  • Report repairs, incidents, or damages immediately

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating graders (16 ft or larger preferred)
  • Experience with M series graders is an asset
  • Previous experience in haul road maintenance is beneficial
  • Minimum one year of experience in mining or heavy construction earthworks preferred
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a recent acceptable abstract
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
  • CSO Certification
  • Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness Certification
