Grader Operator - Fort Hills Oil Sands - 14 Days On / 7 Days Off - FIFO
North American Construction Group (NACG) is currently hiring Heavy Equipment Operators (Finish Grader) to work at the Fort Hills site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This unionized position, part of IUOE Local 955, offers a 14/7 work rotation with day and night shifts, paid at 11.5 hours per day. Camp accommodations and flights from Edmonton or Calgary are included, as well as bussing from Fort McMurray to site. This opportunity provides up to $53.82/hour plus a night shift premium, significant overtime potential, weekly pay, and full benefits after 400 hours.

Responsibilities
As a Finish Grader Operator, you'll play a key role in maintaining roadways and earthworks on site:
- Operate motor graders (16-24 ft blades) in a mining environment
- Read stakes, use GPS, and place accurate grades
- Conduct pre-use equipment inspections
- Perform hazard assessments before and during tasks
- Service and refuel equipment safely
- Navigate around various heavy and light equipment
- Comply with mine driving rules and company safety standards
- Report incidents, damages, and repair needs promptly
Requirements
Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 3 years of experience on 16H or larger graders in mining
- Experience with M series and GPS systems preferred
- Proficient in reading stakes and slope shaping
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean abstract (within 30 days)
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- CSO or BSO Certification
- Hydrogen Sulphide, Silica, and Wildlife Awareness training
- Ability to pass drug/alcohol testing, fitness assessment, and criminal record check
