Geologist - Brucejack Mine - 13 Days On / 13 Days Off (May Vary By Phase) - FIFO
Newmont is hiring a Project Geologist to support exploration initiatives at its Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground operation located 65 km north of Stewart, BC. This fly-in/fly-out position includes full camp accommodations, private en-suite rooms, chef-prepared meals, and extensive wellness and recreational amenities. Working on a rotational schedule aligned with exploration programs, the geologist will contribute to core logging, modeling, drill planning, and QA/QC analysis. The role plays a critical part in expanding orebody understanding and driving technical program success.

Support underground and surface exploration programs through geologic analysis, data validation, and modeling.
- Log drill core and perform geologic interpretations
- Assist with exploration planning, budgeting, and program reviews
- Implement QA/QC for assays, survey, and drill data
- Update geological models and recommend adjustments to drill plans
- Compile technical reports, proposals, and progress documentation
- Coordinate with drilling and analytical teams to ensure SOP compliance
Requirements
Candidates should bring strong geologic knowledge, field experience, and data management skills in mining or exploration settings.
- Bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences or related field
- Registered or eligible for P.Geo or GIT status
- 1-3 years exploration experience, preferably in mining
- Knowledge of ore deposits, lithology, and structural geology
- Familiarity with Leapfrog, Acquire, and QA/QC processes
- Strong writing and analytical reporting skills
- Remote field or underground work experience is an asset
- Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability
