Parsons is hiring CBA – Labourer I to support operations at the Faro Mine Site as part of its Critical Infrastructure team. This role performs a mix of routine and non-routine labour duties tied to water pumping and water treatment operations, facility maintenance, and general site maintenance, including documentation, sampling support, and learning to operate site equipment and trucks. The position is open to local candidates and workers available on a fly-in/fly-out rotational basis, working a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule with 12-hour shifts. Compensation is $30.04/hour with United Steelworkers Local 925 union membership, and employees receive an LOA allowance while being responsible for their own food and meals.

The Labourer I supports Faro Mine Site critical infrastructure by completing labour tasks for water operations, maintenance, and general site work while following strict safety procedures and maintaining accurate records.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety excellence, following safe work practices and job procedures.
- Perform routine and occasionally heavy labour duties supporting water pumping and water treatment operations.
- Support facility maintenance and general site maintenance activities as assigned.
- Collect samples as required and maintain documentation and record logs.
- Learn to operate trucks and site equipment such as pumps, vacuum equipment, oil booms, generators, and related machinery.
- Maintain appropriate operational and activity logs.
- Assist in testing, calibrating, repairing, and modifying control and instrumentation systems at on-site locations.
- Assist with preparation of required field and office reports related to activities and findings.
- Perform other duties associated with the position as required.
Requirements
Candidates for this rotational labourer role should have basic education, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work outdoors year-round in northern conditions while operating trucks and supporting site operations.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Some related work experience (preferred).
- Aptitude to learn fundamental operational tasks and testing techniques.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and demonstrated ability to operate various sized trucks with varying loads on gravel roads and in winter conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to concentrate, organize, set priorities, and work as a team player.
- Proven understanding of safe work practices and risk mitigation.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg.
- Ability to work with little supervision in a multi-discipline environment.
- Ability to work outdoors in a northern climate throughout the year.
