General Labourer - Back River Gold District - Fly In/Out - Three Week Rotations
Kitikmeot Camp Solutions is hiring a Labourer for a remote Horizon North camp facility in Nunavut. This position, reporting to the Maintenance Lead, is responsible for general upkeep and repair duties in the camp, including cleaning, material handling, maintenance tasks, and assisting tradespersons. The role follows a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off schedule with 12-hour workdays. Transportation to the site is provided from Edmonton, and camp accommodations are included.

Responsibilities
The Labourer will assist with general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the remote camp facility.
- Maintain tools and equipment in clean and functional condition.
- Load, unload, and deliver materials and supplies.
- Ensure cleanliness of work areas not covered by janitorial staff.
- Perform outdoor site maintenance, including snow removal.
- Assist with maintenance tasks such as unclogging toilets, changing lightbulbs, and assembling furniture.
- Conduct manual labor tasks, including lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Support tradespersons as needed.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment.
- Perform driving duties as required.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have experience in labor or maintenance roles and the ability to work in a physically demanding remote camp environment.
- Minimum six months of experience in labor or maintenance support in a construction or commercial setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
- Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Basic hand tool operation skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions (warm, cold, wet, humid, dry).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
