General Helper - Brucejack Mine - 13/13 Rotation - Fly In and Fly Out
Newmont is seeking a General Helper for a six-month fixed-term position at Brucejack Gold Mine in northern British Columbia, located approximately 65 kilometers north of Stewart. This fly-in/fly-out role follows a structured 13 days on / 13 days off rotational schedule. Employees receive private accommodations, meals, and access to fitness and recreational facilities. The General Helper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, ensuring food supplies are stocked, assisting with food preparation, and upholding food safety and sanitation standards in a dynamic remote camp environment.

The General Helper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and well-stocked dining environment while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in dining and lunchroom areas.
- Stock food, beverages, and supplies throughout shifts.
- Ensure compliance with FoodSafe and WHMIS guidelines.
- Provide excellent guest service, assisting with questions or requests.
- Monitor and log cooler temperatures, reporting any issues immediately.
- Assist with food preparation, dishwashing, and general cleaning as needed.
- Safely handle and dispose of garbage and recycling.
- Report equipment damage or supply shortages to a supervisor.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Grade 12 diploma or GED.
- WHMIS and FoodSafe Level 1 certification.
- Previous kitchen experience preferred.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs throughout a shift.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
