Fuel and Lube Technician - Oil Sands Construction Maintenance - FIFO 14x14 Rotation

FLINT is currently hiring experienced Fuel & Lube Technicians for permanent positions at their open-pit mining operations in Fort McMurray, Alberta, beginning in July and August 2025. Technicians will operate articulating truck combo units to service heavy equipment in the field and work with mod station systems. This role features a 14/14 FIFO rotation, full camp accommodations, flights from Calgary or Edmonton, and eligibility for benefits after 300 hours worked. Ideal for candidates with previous mine service experience and strong mechanical aptitude in demanding environments.

Responsibilities

As a Fuel & Lube Technician, you will support mine operations by maintaining and refueling heavy equipment using mobile service units.

  • Operate articulating truck combo units to fuel and lubricate heavy equipment in-field
  • Perform mod station service procedures and maintain accurate service logs
  • Work safely and efficiently in remote, open-pit mine environments
  • Communicate with equipment operators and supervisors to coordinate servicing schedules
  • Perform equipment inspections and report defects or malfunctions

Requirements

Candidates must bring hands-on experience in mine service support and meet all mandatory safety qualifications.

  • Experience with Fuel and Lube operations
  • Experience working in open-pit mining environments
  • Proven ability to operate articulating combo trucks and mod station systems
  • Valid CSO (Common Safety Orientation) certification
  • Physically fit to work in rugged and demanding conditions
  • Clean 3-year driver's abstract with fewer than 9 demerits
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
