The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of various commodities within the Calgary Reload facility, supporting inventory and logistics operations.
- Operate 25,000 lb capacity forklifts to load/unload lumber, steel, and other commodities from trucks, railcars, and containers.
- Support inventory control for inbound, outbound, and on-ground stock with accurate documentation.
- Prepare load plans for railcars, trucks, and containers.
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and auxiliary equipment.
- Inspect product condition to ensure compliance with cleanliness and loading procedures.
- Recommend improvements to working conditions and equipment use for efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
