The Fleet Tire Technician is responsible for maintenance, repair, and inventory management of commercial truck and trailer tires, ensuring safety and compliance across the fleet.
- Inspect, rotate, and replace commercial truck and trailer tires as needed.
- Diagnose and repair tire-related issues such as punctures and uneven wear.
- Maintain detailed records of tire maintenance, replacements, and inventory levels.
- Ensure tires and wheels are safe, roadworthy, and compliant with regulations.
- Manage inventory of tires, wheels, and supplies to maintain stock levels.
- Keep the tire shop clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist in tire selection and purchasing based on fleet needs and cost efficiency.
- Perform additional service work on tractors and trailers as required.
- Participate in ongoing training with potential to enter a Commercial Transport Mechanic apprenticeship.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must possess:
- Previous experience working with commercial truck and trailer tires.
- Strong understanding of tire mounting, balancing, and repair techniques.
- Mechanical aptitude and desire to grow into a Commercial Transport Mechanic role.
