FLINT is hiring Dewatering Multi-Skilled Operators for a permanent position in Fort McMurray, Alberta, beginning August 14, 2025. This role is ideal for experienced operators with dewatering and groundwork capabilities. The position follows a 7/7 rotation schedule and includes camp accommodations and flights from Calgary or Edmonton, or the option for local work. Operators will perform various tasks in mine support, including equipment operation, pipe fusing, and general dewatering activities. This role supports dewatering operations by performing multi-skilled equipment tasks and groundwork duties essential to mine site water management.
- Operate multiple types of heavy equipment in support of dewatering systems
- Perform groundwork tasks including hose management, setup, and pipe movement
- Assist in pipe fusing and pump installations (asset)
- Follow supervisor direction and collaborate with field teams
- Train on new equipment as assigned
- Maintain safe, clean, and efficient work environments
Requirements
Successful candidates will possess dewatering and equipment experience along with physical readiness for demanding fieldwork.
- Minimum 1 year of multi-skilled operator experience
- Willingness to perform groundwork duties
- Pipe fusing experience is considered an asset
- Valid CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
- Physically capable of working in challenging outdoor environments
- Proficient verbal and written English communication
- Clean 5-year driver's abstract with fewer than 6 demerits
