FLINT is hiring experienced Multi-Skilled Operators to join its permanent team at the Kearl site in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Operating in one of Canada's major resource hubs, the Kearl site offers a 14/14 work rotation with full camp accommodations and flights provided from Calgary or Edmonton. Operators will use their expertise across a range of heavy equipment including 250+ class excavators, 988/966 loaders, and D8+ dozers in open pit tailings environments. The role begins in July/August 2025 and includes benefits eligibility after 300 hours worked. Responsibilities

As a Multi-Skilled Operator, you will play a key role in supporting mining and tailings operations through precise equipment handling and safe work practices.

  • Operate D8+ Dozers, 250+ Excavators, and 988/966 Loaders
  • Support tailings and open pit mining operations with precision and care
  • Complete daily equipment inspections and report deficiencies
  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety
  • Perform ground work and assist with other site tasks as required
  • Train on new equipment when requested

Requirements

Successful candidates must meet experience and certification standards and be physically capable of field operations.

  • Minimum 2000 hours operating a 250+ Excavator
  • Minimum 2000 hours on 988/966 Loader and D8+ Dozer
  • Minimum 2000 hours in open pit mining environments
  • Valid CSO or BSO certification
  • Physically fit to handle demanding work in varied conditions
  • Clean 3-year driving abstract with fewer than 9 demerits
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
