Equipment Operator - Kearl Oil Sands - FIFO 14x14 Rotation
FLINT is hiring experienced Multi-Skilled Equipment Operators for a permanent position at the Kearl site near Fort McMurray, Alberta, beginning August 2025. Operators will handle CAT D11 dozers with push down capability and CAT 24M graders in an open pit mine setting. This role offers a consistent 14/14 FIFO schedule, complete camp accommodations, and flights from Calgary or Edmonton. Responsibilities
As a key member of the Kearl site operations team, you will operate heavy equipment in support of mining production goals while ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Operate CAT D11 Dozers with push down experience for mine production tasks
- Operate CAT 24M Graders to maintain haul roads and site grading
- Perform routine equipment checks and report mechanical issues
- Adhere to mine safety protocols and Energy Safety Canada standards
- Participate in site safety meetings and equipment training as required
- Collaborate with crew and supervisors to meet production targets
Requirements
Applicants must have demonstrated experience with heavy mining equipment in large-scale production environments.
- Minimum 2000 hours on CAT D11 Dozer with push down experience
- Minimum 2000 hours on CAT 24M Grader
- At least 2000 hours in open pit mine production operations
- Valid CSO or BSO certification
- Physically fit to work in demanding and remote conditions
- Able to learn and operate additional equipment as needed
- Clean 3-year driver's abstract with fewer than 9 demerits
- Strong English communication skills
