Responsibilities

The Dredge Operator will manage electric and diesel dredging equipment to support tailings operations in Fort McMurray.

  • Operate electric and diesel dredges with precision and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance and operational checks on dredging equipment.
  • Adhere to site safety and environmental policies in a safety-sensitive environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient dredging operations.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria for this safety-sensitive role:

  • Minimum 2000 hours operating electric or diesel dredges.
  • Experience with tailings dredge operations.
  • Mandatory safety tickets including CSO.
  • Physically capable of demanding tasks in varied work conditions.
  • Any additional equipment experience considered an asset.
  • Clean 5-year driver's abstract with no more than 9 demerits.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  • Drug and alcohol testing required.
