North American Construction Group (NACG) is hiring experienced Dozer Operators for work at the Kearl site in Fort McMurray, AB. This opportunity offers a structured rotation of 14 days on and 14 days off, including night shifts. Camp accommodations are provided, and flights are available from Edmonton or Calgary, with bus transportation from Fort McMurray to the site. The role involves operating D9 to D11 dozers in a mining environment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. This is a unionized position under IUOE Local 955.

Responsibilities
The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating D9 - D11 Dozers at the Kearl mining site.
- Operate D9 - D11 Dozers and other models as required
- Provide support for mining shovels
- Read stakes and place grades accordingly
- Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures
- Use appropriate safety equipment, including PPE
- Perform equipment walk-arounds, safety checks, and field-level risk assessments
- Report any equipment issues or repairs to the maintenance team
- Immediately report incidents, near misses, or damages
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience operating large dozers in a mining environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating D9 - D11 dozers
- At least 1 year of experience working with mining shovels
- Previous experience operating on muskeg/soft ground
- Minimum 1 year in a mining environment preferred
- Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education (preferred)
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
