Greenstone Gold Mines LP, owned by Equinox Gold Corp, is hiring a Dozer Operator for the Greenstone Mine in Geraldton, Ontario. This open-pit gold mine, operational since May 2024, is projected to produce nearly 400,000 ounces of gold annually for an initial 14-year mine life. The Dozer Operator is responsible for operating tracked dozers of varying weight safely and efficiently to move materials and support mining operations. This position is rotational, and company transportation is available from multiple pick-up locations.

Responsibilities
The Dozer Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating tracked dozers at the Greenstone Mine. Responsibilities include:
- Operating the dozer according to company policies and safety regulations.
- Monitoring gauges and indicators to ensure the dozer is working properly and reporting discrepancies.
- Performing Field Level Risk Assessments.
- Maintaining housekeeping, lubricating, and refilling fluids as required.
- Using two-way radios, horn, and light signals for communication and safety.
- Moving materials such as overburden, sand, gravel, blasted rock, and snow.
- Building pads, roads, prepping drill patterns, maintaining pit floors, and performing shovel cleanups.
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following qualifications and skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a dozer in a mine setting.
- Valid driver's license.
- Mine site experience required.
- Heavy Equipment Operator Training or relevant experience is required.
- Ontario Surface Common Core Training is an asset.
- Safety-conscious and self-motivated.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions accurately.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks.
