Construction Labourer - Ledcor Highway Maintenance Alberta - Shift Work, On Call, Nights
Ledcor is seeking Skilled Bridge Labourers for full-time highway maintenance positions based in Stony Plain, Alberta. Work involves maintaining Alberta Provincial and Municipal bridges and may be year-round or seasonal, supported by multi-year contracts. This role includes travel across Alberta, shift work, on-call availability, and working in physically demanding outdoor environments. Camp accommodations and flights are not provided.

Responsibilities
Bridge Labourers will support the maintenance of Alberta's bridges using various tools and techniques.
- Operate tools like jackhammers, drills, chainsaws, tampers, sandblasters, and concrete vibrators
- Perform minor equipment maintenance
- Work on structural steel and concrete bridge components
- Assist with bridge cleaning, sealing, grouting, sandblasting, painting, and concrete placement
- Handle and apply epoxies, sealers, paints, thinners, and cleaners
- Ensure work meets technical specifications and standards
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
- Minimum 3 years of bridge or construction experience preferred
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with 3-year abstract; Class 3 is an asset
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Experience with heavy construction equipment
- Ability to read engineering drawings and follow construction practices
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor, physically demanding conditions
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Ethical, accountable, and approachable work ethic
