Ledcor is hiring skilled Carpenter / Concrete Labourers for the Dow LP8 Path2Zero expansion project in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. This full-time role starts in April 2025 and offers a 5/2 work schedule with statutory holidays off. Candidates must be local to the Greater Edmonton area, as no camp or travel allowances are provided. The position includes extended health benefits through CLAC.

Responsibilities

Labourers will support carpentry and concrete operations on a major industrial project.

  • Assist Carpenters and Concrete Finishers with project tasks
  • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment
  • Set up and dismantle concrete forms, ramps, and barricades
  • Operate basic hand and power tools
  • Maintain a clean and organized work site
  • Perform manual labour such as lifting, digging, and moving materials
  • Follow all safety protocols and Ledcor procedures

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of labourer experience in construction or related field
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Must pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Dow’s Path2Zero Expansion Project in Fort Saskatchewan is a first-of-its-kind development aimed at building the world’s first net-zero emissions ethylene and derivatives complex. Located at Dow’s existing site, the project includes the addition of a new ethylene cracker and polyethylene production units, supported by advanced cogeneration and carbon capture infrastructure. This large-scale expansion is being developed in phases, with operations expected to begin in the latter half of the decade. At peak construction, the project will support thousands of skilled trades jobs and create hundreds of permanent roles upon completion.
