Responsibilities
As a Class 1 Truck Driver at Arrow Transportation Systems Inc., the driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient haulage of copper ore and other materials, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Haul B train trailers, operate tandem to tri drive trucks.
- Secure cargo loads and prepare equipment with safe practices.
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and en route equipment inspections ensuring safety and compliance.
- Comply with all relevant legislation including hours of service, load securement, transportation of dangerous goods, and occupational health and safety.
- Maintain accurate paperwork such as bills of lading and logs.
- Operate truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones for communication.
- Keep trailers clean and avoid cross contamination between loads.
- Interact professionally with customers, co-workers, and the public.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must meet the following to ensure safe and effective operations within Arrow Transportation Systems:
- Valid Class 1 truck driver's license.
- B train experience required.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Minimum two job references.
- Previous winter and mountain driving experience.
- Front end loader operating experience is an asset.
