Drivers haul wood fibre grindings primarily, with additional sawdust and hog fuel, operating B train and walking floor trailers locally within 2 hours of the pulp mill. The position offers competitive pay between $95,000 and $135,000 annually based on experience, a pension contribution of $3.23/hr, full extended benefits including dental, life insurance, pharmaceutical, vision care, chiropractic, massage, and Employee Assistance Programs, paid orientation, and year-round work. Shifts include days and nights with optional weekends. Out of country applicants are not eligible.

Responsibilities
The Class 1 Truck Driver is responsible for safe and compliant hauling of wood fibre grindings and related products, ensuring professional conduct and regulatory adherence.
- Operate B train and walking floor trailers to haul wood fibre grindings, sawdust, and hog fuel.
- Work primarily within 2 hours of local pulp mill locations in Kamloops area.
- Handle cargo loading and secure loads with safe practices and equipment preparation.
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and en route inspections ensuring safety, roadworthiness, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation including bills of lading and electronic logs of working hours and vehicle status.
- Use truck cab computers, two-way radios, and telephones for communication with dispatch and supervisors.
- Maintain professionalism with customers, co-workers, and the public.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following to ensure safe and effective operations:
- Valid Class 1 truck driver's license.
- Minimum 3 years Class 1 experience driving logging trucks preferred.
- B train or equivalent driving experience.
- Mountain and offroad driving experience required.
- Tire chaining experience required.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Positive attitude and professionalism.
- At least two job references.
