ATCO Frontec is hiring a Chef to lead its kitchen operations at Artemis Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia, located approximately 160 km southwest of Prince George. The Chef is responsible for managing daily kitchen operations, staff supervision, menu creation, and food safety compliance. This is a full-time, camp-based position with free accommodations, meals, and on-site amenities. The position operates on a rotational schedule to be confirmed.

The Chef manages and leads the food services team to deliver high-quality meals while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Key duties include:
- Managing food services per ATCO Frontec standards and guidelines
- Creating and planning menus suited to client needs and budgets
- Participating in food preparation and service
- Ensuring meals meet quality standards while controlling costs
- Supervising and training kitchen staff
- Ordering appropriate quantities of supplies
- Maintaining client and customer relations
- Enforcing health and safety policies in the kitchen
- Inspecting kitchen equipment and facilities for compliance
- Leading by example and setting service standards
- Handling other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Red Seal Certification
- 5+ years of experience as a Head Chef in hotel or restaurant settings
- Advanced Food Safe Level 2 certification
- Valid CSTS and First Aid certifications
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and solve problems effectively
