Mine Security Guard - Remote Mining Camps British Columbia - FIFO

Scarlet Security & Risk Group (SSRG) is hiring full-time Security Guards for a fly-in/fly-out mining operation near Kitimat, BC. This role offers $24.79/hour plus overtime and follows a 2-week on, 2-week off schedule with 12-hour shifts. All meals and housing are provided at no cost, and travel to site is arranged from key marshalling points across British Columbia. Duties include access control, vehicle searches, patrols, surveillance monitoring, and emergency response. Applicants must hold a valid BC Security License, Class 5 Driver's License, and CPR/AED certification.

Camp Security Guard

Work Rotation

2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 12-hour shifts

Responsibilities

Security Guards will provide full-spectrum protection and patrol services at a remote Kitimat-area mine. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining professional customer service to workers, guests, and staff
  • Controlling access and monitoring intrusion detection systems
  • Patrolling site grounds by foot and vehicle
  • Observing and reporting suspicious site activity
  • Completing daily logs, access records, and administrative reports
  • Managing badge issuance and verification
  • Coordinating emergency response and using radio communications

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following job qualifications:

  • Valid British Columbia Security License (or obtain if from out of province)
  • Full Class 5 Driver's License and acceptable abstract
  • Valid CPR and AED certification
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle stairs and extended patrols
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions and rotating shifts
