Scarlet Security & Risk Group (SSRG) is hiring experienced High Profile Security Guards for a remote fly-in/fly-out mine site in Northwest British Columbia. This full-time role pays $25-$27 per hour plus overtime and includes free meals, housing, and paid travel from major marshalling points including Vancouver, Calgary, Kelowna, Prince George, and Smithers. Guards will perform advanced duties including access control, patrols, vehicle and bag searches, emergency response, and enforcement of site rules. Candidates must hold a valid BC Security License, have Advanced Security Training (AST), and a minimum of 3 years of experience in high-security, military, or law enforcement environments.

Responsibilities
Security Guards will provide high-level security services at a remote mine site. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering professional customer service to site workers and visitors
- Performing foot and mobile patrols including perimeter checks
- Monitoring access control, intrusion, and surveillance systems
- Conducting person, bag, and vehicle checks
- Administering alcohol breath tests and drug screening
- De-escalating and controlling potential violent situations
- Responding to emergencies and coordinating via radio
- Controlling vehicle movement and enforcing site speed limits
- Documenting activities, reports, and access logs
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Advanced Security Training (AST)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid British Columbia Security License (or obtain before start)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with acceptable abstract
- Basic First Aid certification
- Crisis Intervention and De-escalation training (CPKN) preferred
- Strong English communication skills - written and verbal
- Physically fit - able to lift 50 lbs and walk/stand for extended periods
- Able to work in both hot and cold weather conditions, day or night
