Camp Manager - Remote Camps Nunavut - FIFO - 3 Week Rotations
MATRIX is seeking experienced Camp Managers for rotational fly-in/fly-out roles across various remote Canadian worksites, including northern and Arctic regions. This hands-on leadership position includes a 3/3 rotation, camp accommodations, and a competitive day rate of $400 to $475 based on experience. Camp Managers are responsible for overseeing daily camp operations, staff supervision, facilities maintenance, client communications, and on-site safety. Candidates must be well-versed in remote camp operations and possess supervisory, mechanical, and interpersonal expertise, with required certifications including PAL, First Aid, and a Level 1 Supervisor ticket.

Camp Managers will lead and support all remote camp operations, ensuring functionality, team efficiency, and a safe environment for all camp staff and guests.
- Oversee full daily operations of remote camp facilities
- Maintain generators, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Supervise camp staff and collaborate with head office and project managers
- Manage guest services and client relations on-site
- Support hands-on tasks and respond to emergencies
- Track inventories and report operational issues
- Ensure all health, safety, and environmental protocols are followed
- Coordinate travel logistics and scheduling for staff
Requirements
Applicants must have prior remote camp management experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and valid safety certifications.
- 2-3 years as a remote Camp Manager
- Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Proven leadership and staff management abilities
- PAL license (wildlife monitoring) - required
- Level 1 Supervisor Ticket - required
- Valid First Aid Certification (2-day minimum)
- Valid Driver's License
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing manual tasks
- Familiarity with diesel generators, chainsaws, off-road vehicles, and satellite phones
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
