Camp Attendant - Remote Mining Camps British Columbia - FIFO
MATRIX is hiring experienced Camp Kitchen Attendants to support food service and sanitation duties at remote exploration camps in British Columbia, with preference for those living near Terrace. This fly-in/fly-out role runs on a 3 week in, 3 week out rotation and pays $295 per day for 12-hour shifts. Candidates will perform dishwashing, sanitization, dry area cleaning, and ensure food storage compliance under the camp's Food Safety Plan and COVID protocols. Previous experience in remote camp settings, attention to detail, and physical endurance are key to success in this position.

Camp Kitchen Attendants will perform cleaning, dishwashing, and food safety tasks to support camp kitchen operations in a remote environment.
- Follow safe work practices and report incidents immediately
- Participate in daily toolbox meetings
- Wash dishes and sanitize surfaces and kitchenware
- Follow Food Safety Plan and COVID protocols
- Ensure food storage areas are clean and organized
- Label and store food items safely, including allergy-sensitive items
- Clean and sanitize dry storage areas
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen workspace
Requirements
Applicants must have remote camp experience, strong organizational skills, and the physical capacity for long shifts and repetitive tasks.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Camp or Kitchen Attendant in a remote camp
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented
- Physically able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Capable of walking, standing, and performing physical labor for 10-12 hour shifts
- Available to start immediately or on short notice
- Ability to commit to a 3/3 rotation schedule
