Wicehtowak Frontec Services (WFS) is seeking a Housekeeper (Camp Attendant) to join the team at the Jansen Discovery Lodge, a workforce housing facility supporting the BHP Jansen potash mine in Leroy, SK. The position follows a 14 days on, 7 days off rotation, with accommodations and meals provided during work shifts. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced camp environment.

Responsibilities

The Housekeeper (Camp Attendant) is responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment within the workforce lodge.

  • Maintain cleanliness of bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen units.
  • Make beds, change sheets, and distribute clean towels and toiletries.
  • Wash, dry, and fold linens and towels.
  • Assist with laundry as needed.
  • Dust and vacuum furniture and draperies.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, wax, and polish floors.
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and company health and safety policies.
  • Lift 25+ lbs as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have prior housekeeping experience and strong organizational skills.

  • Experience in a remote camp environment is an asset.
  • Minimum of 1 year of housekeeping experience in a camp or hotel setting preferred.
  • Good organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
  • Final candidates must pass a criminal record check, drug and alcohol test, and fit-for-work medical assessment.

In March 2023, BHP awarded a multi-year contract to Wicehtowak Frontec Services (WFS), a joint venture between ATCO Frontec Ltd. and George Gordon Developments Ltd., to provide camp support services at the lodge, reflecting a commitment to Indigenous partnerships and community engagement.
