ATCO Frontec is hiring a Breakfast Cook for Elk Valley Lodge in Elkford, BC. This role involves preparing high-quality meals, ensuring proper food storage and safety, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen. The position follows a 20 days on, 10 days off rotation with 10-hour shifts. Camp accommodations are provided. The successful candidate will have experience in a high-volume kitchen, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities
The Breakfast Cook is responsible for meal preparation, kitchen maintenance, and food safety.
- Organize and complete meal prep for breakfast service.
- Ensure dishes meet high quality and presentation standards.
- Stock food serving areas while maintaining quality and minimizing waste.
- Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes.
- Maintain proper food storage and rotation to minimize spoilage.
- Operate food service equipment safely and according to policies.
- Follow sanitation and safety regulations in food handling and kitchen maintenance.
- Record daily kitchen logs for food temperature, hot and cold holding, and cleaning schedules.
- Interact with employees and customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Clean kitchen, utensils, and equipment as required.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have prior cooking experience and strong multitasking skills.
- Completion of a college or post-secondary cooking program is an asset.
- Valid food safety certificate required.
- 2-3 years of experience as a 3rd Cook or Breakfast Cook in a camp, hotel, or restaurant setting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Final candidates must pass a Security Clearance Check.
- This is a safety-sensitive position requiring a pre-employment alcohol and drug test.
