Baker - Back River Gold District - 4 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off - Camp
Dexterra Group is hiring a Baker for a Horizon North remote camp in Nunavut. This position features a 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation with 12-hour days, and includes air travel from Edmonton, private accommodations, and all meals. The Baker will oversee night shift baking operations, mentor team members, and maintain consistent production standards for all baked goods.

The Baker is responsible for baking operations in a high-volume remote camp setting.
- Supervise night shift baking staff
- Prepare baked goods from scratch
- Maintain fresh inventory on pastry shelves
- Create and follow menus and production quotas
- Comply with food safety standards
- Sanitize work areas and equipment
Requirements
Applicants should have strong baking experience and leadership skills in a remote or institutional setting.
- Minimum 3 years baking experience
- FoodSafe Level I required; HACCP an asset
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Must pass WHMIS with 80%+
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long hours
