The Assistant Lodge Manager oversees and coordinates all operational aspects of the camp. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the manager in directing a multi-disciplinary support team
- Ensuring smooth service delivery across functional areas such as food services, IT, transport, and accommodations
- Liaising with site-management staff to support camp operations
- Coordinating orientation, training, coaching, and scheduling
- Conducting monthly quality audit inspections
- Assisting with budget management and monitoring financials
Requirements
Ideal candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Hotel/Accommodation Management or related field (preferred)
- 4-6 years of hospitality management experience
- Experience in remote camp services (asset)
- Proven leadership, communication, and analytical abilities
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- Experience with hiring, mentoring, and resource planning
- Business acumen and negotiation expertise
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
- Valid driver's license
