Responsibilities
As an Articulating Truck Operator, your key duties will include:
- Operate 60-ton articulating frame haul trucks (e.g., CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, Volvo)
- Conduct pre-use inspections and safety checks
- Complete hazard assessments before and during tasks
- Refuel and service equipment safely
- Interact with loading and dumping equipment
- Follow mine site driving rules
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and PPE requirements
- Report incidents, damage, and required maintenance immediately
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating 60-ton articulating haul trucks
- At least 1 year of mining experience
- Ability to operate rigid frame trucks if needed
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Proficient in English (written and spoken)
- CSO or BSO Certification
- Silica, H2S, and Wildlife Awareness training
- OHS Alberta Legislation knowledge
- Pass pre-employment testing: drug/alcohol, fitness, audiometric, vision, and background check
