Wicehtowak Frontec Services is seeking a Commercial Appliance Technician to support operations at the Jansen Discovery Lodge in Leroy, Saskatchewan. Located 155 km east of Saskatoon, this workforce housing facility serves the potash mining sector. The role follows a 14/14 rotation and includes full camp accommodations and meals while on site. The technician is responsible for inspecting, servicing, and repairing a wide range of commercial kitchen and lodge appliances in compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.

The Appliance Technician will carry out maintenance and repair of commercial kitchen and lodge appliances in a remote camp setting.
- Perform daily inspections and preventive/corrective maintenance on commercial appliances
- Repair or replace components using tools, soldering, and brazing equipment
- Diagnose faults using meters and gauges to measure performance variables
- Refer to schematics and manuals for repair guidance
- Submit verbal or written reports using the CMMS (SAP) system
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
- Other maintenance duties as assigned
Requirements
Candidates must be certified appliance technicians with experience in commercial equipment repair and a strong focus on safety and communication.
- Journeyperson Certified Appliance Technician
- Red Seal endorsement preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in appliance servicing
- General Gas Fitter License
- Manufacturer training certifications are an asset
- Strong communication and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Experience in 24/7 client-focused environments
- Familiarity with safe work practices and maintenance operations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Must pass criminal record check, drug and alcohol test, and fit-for-work assessment
