ATCO Frontec is hiring a 3rd Cook to join the kitchen team at Jansen Discovery Lodge in Jansen, SK. This role involves preparing a variety of meals, ensuring high-quality food service, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards. The position follows a 14 days on, 7 days off rotation with 10-hour shifts. Camp accommodations are provided. The successful candidate will play a key role in food preparation, stock management, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.

The 3rd Cook is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals while maintaining kitchen cleanliness and safety standards.
- Organize and complete meal prep as required.
- Ensure all dishes meet high quality and presentation standards.
- Stock food service areas according to demand while minimizing waste.
- Prepare and cook food following standardized recipes.
- Ensure proper food temperature and cooking times.
- Maintain proper food storage and rotation to reduce spoilage.
- Operate food service equipment safely and according to policies.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Record daily kitchen logs for temperature, cleaning, and food preparation.
- Interact with employees and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Clean kitchen, utensils, and equipment as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or camp kitchens with strong food preparation skills.
- Completion of a college or post-secondary cooking program is an asset.
- Valid food safety certificate is required.
- 2-3 years of experience as a 3rd Cook or Line Cook in a camp, hotel, or restaurant setting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask efficiently.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Final candidates must pass a Security Clearance Check.
- This is a safety-sensitive position and requires pre-employment alcohol and drug testing.

The Jansen Discovery Lodge is a state-of-the-art workforce accommodation facility supporting BHP's Jansen Potash Project in Saskatchewan. Designed and constructed by ATCO Structures, the lodge accommodates up to 2,586 workers and offers amenities such as fitness facilities, squash courts, steam rooms, and a 200-seat movie theatre, providing a comfortable living environment for the workforce.
