The 3rd Cook will support kitchen operations by preparing, cooking, and cleaning while maintaining food safety standards. Responsibilities include:
- Organizing and completing all meal preparation as required
- Stocking serving areas with attention to quality and waste reduction
- Cooking food according to standardized recipes and temperatures
- Serving and clearing meals as needed
- Managing food rotation to minimize spoilage
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Following food handling and sanitation procedures
- Recording food preparation and cleaning logs accurately
- Maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor
- Cleaning kitchen utensils and equipment regularly
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following qualifications for the 3rd Cook role:
- Completion of a post-secondary cooking program
- Valid food safety certificate
- 2-3 years of experience in the hotel or restaurant industry
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
- Professional communication abilities (oral and written)
- Ability to work well under pressure
