Hudbay Minerals' Snow Lake operations in Manitoba are seeking dedicated individuals to join their remote camp team managed by Dexterra. With a focus on copper, zinc, and gold production, the Snow Lake area, including the Lalor mine, plays a vital role in Hudbay's mining portfolio. Long work rotations, remote camp accommodations, and a range of remote camp job positions available, including Cooks, Kitchen Helpers, Janitors, and Drivers.

2nd Cooks

The Second Cook is responsible for assisting in the overall remote camp kitchen operations and maintenance. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing designated kitchen areas, tools, equipment, pots, and dishes. The role involves preparing food items for sandwich making, including selecting and cutting bread, slicing cold meats and cheese, and assembling sandwiches. This position operates on a 14 days on and 7 days off rotation.

Janitors and Drivers

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the remote camp facilities to the highest standards. This role involves extensive walking, moving from room to room within the site. Responsibilities include sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, washing windows, interior walls, ceiling vents, and vacuuming and sanitizing all areas within the camp.

Janitors will also deliver supplies such as housekeeping items and water jugs. Drivers will be responsible for driving company vehicles long distances to transport supplies and staff. This position operates on a 14 days on and 14 days off rotation.

General Kitchen Helpers

The General Helper assists in overall camp kitchen operations and maintenance, including cleaning and sanitizing designated kitchen areas, tools, equipment, pots, and dishes. Responsibilities include washing, scrubbing, cleaning, and sanitizing kitchen and dining areas, cleaning kitchen equipment, washing dishes, and performing deep cleaning as required. General Helpers will also restock and rotate desserts, sandwiches, beverages, and condiments and assist in loading, unloading, and placing supplies and inventory.
