Dexterra Group is seeking camp support staff for various positions at a remote camp facility in Northwestern Ontario. This entry-level opportunity offers a 14/14 rotation, with all meals, accommodations, and travel costs covered. Join the mining camp support team as a Housekeeper, General Helper, Kitchen Assistant, or Janitor at a remote camp facility in Northwestern Ontario. Entry level positions with minimum requirements, 14/14 rotation, and benefit from travel and camp accommodations provided at no cost.

Available remote camp support staff positions include,

  1. Housekeeper
  2. General Helper
  3. Kitchen Assistant
  4. Janitor

General responsibilities of the camp support staff include,

  • Daily cleaning and sanitization of guest rooms and shared washrooms
  • Daily sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of guest rooms, common areas, and dorm hallways
  • Garbage and recycling collection and removal
  • Floor care, including sweeping and using the T-300 floor scrubber
  • Clean and sanitize all public washrooms
  • Clean and sanitize management offices and the front desk area
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the shift
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times
  • Follow all safety controls related to COVID-19, including regular handwashing, proper use of PPE, and enhanced cleaning/sanitation requirements
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

General qualifications for the camp support staff include,

  • Must be able to successfully pass drug and alcohol screening upon arrival
  • Must be based within the Thunder Bay - Sault Ste. Marie District
  • Great attitude and commitment to full-time employment
  • Valid Food Safe certificate is an asset
  • Current Level 1 First Aid certificate is an asset
  • Previous camp setting experience is an asset
  • Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders or stairs, standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, or sitting for extended periods, performing repetitive hand work, and working with arms at full length and above shoulder height
