Remote Camp Mining Labourers, Truck Drivers, and Heavy Equipment Operators - Rainy River Mine

This is a great opportunity for remote camp workers in Ontario and Manitoba. Remote camp mining labourers, truck drivers, and heavy equipment operators are needed for a mining construction project at Rainy River Gold and Silver Mine in Ontario.

Rainy River Gold and Silver Mine is an open-pit mine operated by New Gold Inc. This mine utilizes a conventional truck-and-shovel mining operation, while the underground is designed as a mechanized-ramp access mine that will use longitudinal long-hole open stopping techniques to exploit the underground reserves.

The Rainy River process plant includes crushing, grinding, gravity separation, cyanide leaching, carbon-in-pulp (CIP), carbon stripping and regeneration, electrowinning, and dor� production. Tailings are deposited in the tailings management area (TMA), and TMA water is reclaimed and returned to the process plant.

Ledcor is the contractor for this mining construction project at Rainy River Mine. They are looking for following remote camp mining job positions at the moment. 2-weeks on 1-week work rotation with remote camp accommodations including meals and lodging.

Labourers

• Minimum one-year of heavy civil experience is preferred
• Demonstrates an awareness and understanding of mining safety and OHandS policies
• Must possess a valid form of government issued photo identification
• Successful completion of criminal background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

Rock Truck Operators

• Minimum one-year of heavy civil experience is preferred
• Must possess a valid form of government-issued photo identification
• Successful completion pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Must be fully vaccinated and provide valid COVID-19 vaccination record (unless you have a legitimate recognized medical or religious reason for not getting vaccinated), or agree to submit to testing requirements

Excavator Operators

• Minimum three years of heavy civil experience on 25-45-ton excavators
• Must possess a valid form of government issued photo identification
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
