Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Welders needed for Uranium mining operations in McArthur River Mine/Key Lake Mill in Northern Saskatchewan. Remote camp accommodations and fly in and fly out transportation will be provided for your work shift rotation. Pay is $54.87/Hour and industry competitive benefits.

McArthur River Uranium Mine is the world's largest high-grade uranium mine. Cameco discovered the McArthur River ore body in 1988. The mine is located about 620 km north of Saskatoon, SK. Uranium ore is then transported from the McArthur River Uranium Mine to Key Lake, SK for milling.

Following remote camp fly in and fly out jobs are from Cameco. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the energy sector. They have tier-one mining and milling operations around the world and capacity to produce more than 30 million pounds of uranium concentrates annually and more than 464 million pounds mineral reserves. They are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion and fuel manufacturing services. Cameco is one of Canada's largest employers of Indigenous people as well. Their mining and exploration operations in Canada span about 2.1 million acres with majority near northern Saskatchewan.

Journeyperson Welder

Requirements of the position:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Saskatchewan or inter-provincial journeyperson welder ticket
  • At least five years of industrial experience as a journeyperson
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Assets for this position include,

  • SAP experience
  • Previous underground maintenance experience

Plumber / Gasfitter

Requirements of the position:

  • Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial Journeyperson Plumber certification
  • Valid Saskatchewan General Gasfitter's license
  • General Gasfitter's license is required to support the site Employer's Gas License
  • Minimum combined five years' experience in the areas of mine air heating, propane distribution operation and maintenance and systems, residential and commercial heating ventilation and air conditioning systems and fire system maintenance
  • Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Assets for this position include,

  • Experience with CMMS such as SAP
  • Pipefitter certification
  • Emergency First Aid certification

Cameco's northern Saskatchewan Uranium mining and milling operations operate on a two week on and two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
