BHP Headframe Project
The BHP Jansen Potash Mine is a large industrial construction project in Saskatchewan, set to become the world's largest potash mine. The mine will be developed in multiple phases, starting with an initial production of four million tonnes per year, eventually reaching eight million tonnes annually. The project features the tallest potash headframes globally.
As a Light Equipment Operator, you will safely operate zoom booms, skid steers, loaders, and other light equipment. You will also perform various tasks to support industrial operations, including general clean-up, groundwork, assisting carpenters, and more.
- Safely operate zoom boom, skid steer, loader, and other light equipment
- Perform tasks on the laborer crew to support industrial operations
- Provide general clean-up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the work area
- Conduct groundwork, including shoveling snow, raking, pumping water, and prepping ground for concrete
- Assist carpenters with forming and stripping concrete forms
- Pour small foundations and pedestals and handle the pickup and delivery of materials
Requirements for light duty equipment operators include,
- Previous experience operating light equipment in an industrial setting
- Physically fit with the ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing and a criminal background check
