Camp jobs in the Northwest Territories. Morgan Construction is seeking demolition labourers for a project in the Northwest Territories. This role involves manual hand demolition work to support the demolition and decommissioning of buildings and infrastructures in Fort Simpson.

As a Skilled Demolition Labourer, you will be responsible for various demolition tasks, including:

  • Hand demolition work
  • Breaking materials into panels
  • Measuring, cutting, and pulling apart structures
  • Carrying, stacking, and loading materials
  • Receiving long line debris from a helicopter
  • Performing work safely and responsibly with co-workers
  • Completing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

You must be able to,

  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must be willing to work in a remote setting in the Northwest Territories on a rotational schedule
  • Ability to work up to 12 hours a day

Qualifications for the demolition labourer position include,

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a labourer in the demolition industry
  • Proven experience with demolition activities
  • Torch cutting experience preferred
  • Familiarity with demolition hand tools
  • Asbestos abatement experience is an asset
  • Ability to identify hazards on sites and complete JSA's and hazard assessments
  • Willingness to learn and a positive attitude
  • Must have (or be willing to obtain) CSTS-09 / OSSA Regional Orientation or BSO or CSO, Intermediate First Aid, Chainsaw Ticket, Bear Awareness (in class)
  • Must have own Safety boots - Requirement is 6" lace-up steel-toed (CSA Approved)
  • Valid class 5 driver's license and clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to safely and repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must pass alcohol, drug, and fit-to-work assessments
