A remote camp job opportunity is available for labourers at the CNRL Horizon Sulphur Turnaround project in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This role offers a 10-day-on, 4-day-off rotation, including covered flights and full camp accommodations, catering to those in the oil and gas sectors.

Labourers are needed for the CNRL Horizon Sulphur Turnaround project in Fort McMurray. Covered flights from Edmonton and Calgary, along with travel allowances. This opportunity offers a 10-day-on, 4-day-off rotation with 11.5-hour workdays and full remote camp accommodations, including meals and lodging.

  • Location: CNRL Horizon - Fort McMurray, AB
  • Anticipated Start Date: April 30, 2024 - May 14, 2024
  • Anticipated End Date: June 30, 2024
  • Work Shift:
    • Pre Turnaround: 11.5 hours, 10 and 4 rotation
    • Turnaround: 11.5 hours straight through rotation
  • Accommodation: Remote camp accommodations
  • Other: Travel Allowances (TAP)
  • Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary
  • Hourly Rate: $39.75 (Inclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, pension, and education and training); Base Rate: $31.48

Job duties for the labourers include,

  • Comply with PSC and Client Safety rules, as well as OHandS standards
  • Assist tradesmen in completing daily duties
  • Sort and select tools as requested by journeymen
  • Act as fire/spark watch for welders
  • Perform general clean-up
  • Load and unload materials as required
  • Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications for the labourers include.

  • Previous experience on an industrial site considered an asset
  • CSTS-09, CSO, or BSO certification
  • OSSA Fire Watch certification considered an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Physically able to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • H2S Alive, Confined Space, and Fall Protection certifications considered assets
