Wicehtowak Frontec Services is hiring general labourers for camp site maintenance at the Jansen Discovery Lodge, a workforce housing facility supporting the BHP Jansen potash mine in Saskatchewan. 14-day on, 14-day off rotation, with camp accommodations, including meals and lodging.

General Labourers are responsible for maintaining the external property and the camp site and ensuring its upkeep throughout all seasons.

Duties include snow and ice removal, lawn care, debris collection, and cleaning.

Labourers will operate various equipment, such as a bobcat, front-end loader, sand truck, and aerial work platform.

• Perform snow and ice removal, lawn mowing, raking, weeding, and shrub and tree pruning
• Operate handheld equipment and tools for property maintenance
• Use equipment like bobcats, front-end loaders, and sand trucks
• Collect and dispose of refuse and debris
• Clean outside windows and building eaves
• Maintain building exteriors to ensure they are free of debris

Requirements for General Labourers include,

• Previous experience as a groundskeeper or landscaper is an asset
• Skidsteer ticket
• Background in pesticide application or valid pesticide certification preferred
• Certifications in confined space, fall arrest/protection, and aerial work platforms preferred

The BHP Jansen Potash Mine, located east of Saskatoon, is set to become one of the largest potash mines globally once construction is complete. Potash is a key agricultural fertilizer, and the Jansen mine will play a significant role in global food production.

The Discovery Lodge, operated by Wicehtowak Frontec Services, houses 2,586 workers and includes amenities such as fitness facilities, squash courts, steam rooms, and a 200-seat movie theatre.
