Fly in and fly out remote camp jobs in Saskatchewan for the BHP Jansen Potash Mine construction project. Ledcor is seeking registered apprentice or Journeyperson Structural or Generalist Ironworkers with experience in industrial construction projects for the BHP Headframe Project. This role requires working at heights (up to 150ft) and involves tasks such as bolting and impacting. Ledcor offers competitive wages, growth opportunities, pension, and RSP benefits.

Ironworkers (Structural and Generalist)

Responsibilities:

  • Stick build steel erection for structural steel building and panelization
  • Bolt up and impacting while working at heights
  • Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of work
  • Position steel units, align holes, and insert temporary bolts while checking alignments and joining steel parts
  • Perform heavy lift, rigging, and setting of building modules
  • Ensure the safety of the crew, equipment, and environment

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson/Apprentice Ironworker certification with a recognized provincial training authority (Union Cards not accepted)
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • OSSA Regional with CSTS/BSO or CSO, Fall Protection certification required
  • Elevated Work Platform certification is an asset
  • Must have basic Ironworker tools

The BHP Jansen Potash Mine in Saskatchewan is planned to be developed in multiple phases, starting with an initial phase producing four million tonnes per year, eventually reaching a capacity of eight million tonnes annually. This expansion will make it the world's largest potash mine, featuring the tallest potash headframes globally.

Ledcor is leading the construction efforts, focusing on structural steel building and panelization, modular builds, mod placement, and EAU assembly.
