Construction labourers are needed for oil sands project in Fort McMurray and Wandering River areas. If you have experience in heavy civil earthworks, construction, mining, or oilfield maintenance services, this opportunity is for you. Fly-in/fly-out or drive-in/drive-out options and remote camp accommodations including meals and lodging provided.

  • Competitive rate range of $21 - $27 per hour based on experience.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, shine, or snow.
  • Handle noise and vibrations on the job.
  • Ability to work up to 12 hours a day, including day or night shifts.

Key responsibilities of the construction labourers include the following.

In order to qualify as a construction labourer, you must meet the following qualifications.

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a construction labourer.
  • Experience operating a packer is preferred.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean 3-year abstract.
  • Ability to interpret survey layouts is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements for the construction labourers include the following.

  • Obtain or possess CSTS-09, OSSA Regional or BSO or CSO, Intermediate First Aid, H2S Alive or Awareness, and Bear Awareness certifications.
  • Provide your own CSA-approved steel-toed 6" lace-up boots.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs repetitively and safely.
  • Must pass alcohol, drug, and fit-to-work assessments as pre-employment requirements.
