CNRL Horizon is a large oil sands project located in northern Alberta, Canada, producing around 250,000 barrels of bitumen per day. It utilizes surface mining and in-situ recovery techniques to extract bitumen, which is then upgraded into synthetic crude oil through hydrocracking and hydrotreating.

Horizon Oil Sands offers excellent remote camp accommodation facilities to contractors and their employees, featuring top-notch amenities such as lobbies, housing office, security office, First Aid Room, washers and driers, games rooms, fitness centre, phone connections in each room, and TV areas. The kitchen is modern and provides hot breakfast and dinner, with remote camp workers putting together their bag lunches in the morning. Internet connections are also available, making for a comfortable and convenient stay for those who work for the Horizon Oil Sands.

The employer hiring for this project is Jardeg Construction Services along with their allied partner Heartland Constructors Inc. The project expected last approximately four months. The work rotation is 7 days on and 7 days off with 11.5 hours long work days. Charter flights provided from hubs in Calgary and Edmonton in Alberta and travel program available for those who are eligible.
