Camp Cooks (3rd Cooks and Grill Cooks) for Jansen Discovery Lodge - 14/7 Rotation

Remote camp jobs in Saskatchewan. ATCO Frontec is seeking 3rd Cooks and Grill Cooks to join their camp kitchen team at the Jansen Discovery Lodge in Jansen, SK. This role supports the workers at the BHP Jansen Potash Mine construction, providing high-quality meals on a 14/7 work rotation.

As a 3rd Cook or Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of foods, including breakfast, and ensuring all meal preparations are organized and completed to the highest standards at the Jansen Discovery Lodge.

Responsibilities include,

• Organize and complete meal prep as required, ensuring all dishes are prepared and served to the highest standard
• Assist in stocking food serving areas with a focus on quality, appearance, adequate stocking levels, and minimizing leftovers and waste
• Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes, ensuring proper temperature and cooking times
• Prepare, serve, and clear resident steam table/tray line as required
• Maintain food rotations in storage to minimize spoilage and waste
• Operate food services equipment safely and according to policies and procedures
• Follow sanitation and safety principles in handling food, work area, and equipment
• Record prepared products on daily kitchen logs for hot and cold holding, temperature logs, and daily cleaning schedules
• Interact courteously, efficiently, and friendly with customers and employees
• Clean kitchen, utensils, and equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications for the 3rd Cook or Grill Cook positions include,

• Completion of a college or other post-secondary program in cooking is considered an asset
• Valid food safety certificate
• 2-3 years' experience as a 3rd cook or line cook in the Camp/Hotel/Restaurant industry
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Professional communication skills, oral, and written
• Ability to work well under pressure

Jansen Potash Project
