Newmont is currently accepting applications for the following remote camp positions.
- Camp Cooks: The Camp Cook will prepare and cook meals for camp residents, ensuring high-quality, nutritious meals are served daily. Responsibilities include menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and safety standards.
- Kitchen Helpers: The Kitchen Helper will assist in food preparation, serve meals, and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. Duties include washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and supporting the cooks in meal preparation.
- Dishwashers: The Dishwasher will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment. This role is essential for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Housekeepers: The Housekeeper will be responsible for the daily cleaning and sanitation of bunkhouse rooms and washrooms, cleaning laundry, receiving and distributing supplies, and performing other tasks as needed. This position reports primarily to the Housekeeping Manager or designate.
Brucejack Mine
The Brucejack Mine, located in northwestern British Columbia, Canada, is one of the highest-grade gold mines in the world. Initially developed by Pretivm Resources, it was acquired by Newcrest Mining in March 2022, adding a significant asset to their portfolio. Renowned for its substantial gold and silver reserves, Brucejack produces gold-silver dor� and flotation concentrate using long-hole stoping mining methods, with onsite ore processing.
